All applicants must have completed their residency from an ACGME-accredited program in either the U.S. or Canada. The Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine welcomes out-of-state and out-of-country scholars; however, we do not provide advice or support for becoming legally able to practice medicine in the state of California. Promoting Resident Experiences in the Subspecialties at Stanford
The Department of Pediatrics at Stanford School of Medicine is committed to recruiting and supporting prospective fellows who contribute to a diverse workforce within pediatric medical subspecialties, specifically physicians who identify as underrepresented in medicine based on factors such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, abilities, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The PRESS Program is designed to foster a community of diverse learners and faculty and to provide residents the opportunity to explore fellowship opportunities within our pediatric medical subspecialities.
The program will bring residents from diverse backgrounds to Stanford for a 4-week in-person clinical training experience within the Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. Residents will have the opportunity to rotate within one of the subspecialty rotations offered at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, California, and surrounding clinics. Visiting residents will gain clinical exposure in a subspecialty area of interest, participate in programming to foster community and belonging, and will be paired with a faculty mentor during their visit.
PRESS Program Rotations for the 2024-25 academic year will occur during the following 4-week blocks:
March 31-April 27, 2025
Applications open on July 1, 2024. Applications are due August 30, 2024 at 11:59pm PST. To learn more, visit the PRESS Program page.
